Bridgeway Children's Ministry
The goal of Bridgeway's children's ministry is to partner with parents to present children with the good news of Jesus,
help them to develop a deeper relationship with God, and encourage them to put their faith into practice by serving others.
We believe that children, as well as adults, are dead in their sin, but can receive forgiveness through faith in Christ as
Lord and Savior. We also believe that children are able to understand these truths when presented in developmentally appropriate ways.
Regular Service times August through May:
We offer three very different experiences for children during our two services at 9:00am and 10:30am. We encourage the whole family to come for both:
worship at one service and serve or learn more at the other.
Childcare for infants through 3-year-olds is available during and between both services in our Nursery/Toddler Ministry.
Potty trained 3-year-olds are welcome in the preschool Sunday school class and the children's worship service.
Children's Worship 9:00 (PreK through 6th grade)
A member of our worship team encourages kids to worship God through singing and playing instruments. Musical worship is followed by a
short children's message, usually with an accompanying activity or object lesson. Children are also welcome to stay in "big church"
if they or their parents prefer.
Sunday School 10:30 (PreK through 6th grade, divided by grades) - see below for a description of our curriculum.
Bridgeway Sunday school classes are taught by committed teachers who have passed background
checks and want to develop lasting relationships with the kids. Every classroom uses
Generations of Grace
curriculum, which is a biblically based curriculum that covers the
entire narrative of God's redemptive plan over three years. Every week, children in each age
range learn from the same passage of Scripture in a way that is appropriate for their respective
age levels. This allows families to discuss one passage together each week, reinforcing the
lessons introduced in Sunday school.
Other opportunities for children through out the year include AWANA during the school year (link to the AWANA page), VBS every summer, and
occasional other activities such as a Christmas musical, winter camp and all-church activities like pool parties, picnics and game nights.
