As we shared previously, our situation is quite fluid and we are trying our best to encourage and minister to you as we move forward in April. While we could become distressed about what we are going through, we can also view it as an opportunity for God to show up powerfully through His people. And that is what we believe!
Proverbs 16:9 says, We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. So for now, our plans are:
The stay-at-home order doesn’t impact what we have been doing to provide our live stream service as we qualify as an essential activity and can leave home. That being the case, we want to honor the spirit of the executive order and keep our “live-stream-team” as small as possible while also practice social distancing. Therefore this Sunday the service will be a little simpler and shorter.
We will only be live streaming at 9:00 AM. The service will then be posted and available to watch on our Bridgeway Facebook page anytime after that. Instructions on how to find the live stream and posts are at www.bridgewaycc.org.
Awana has stopped meeting at church for now, but continues to meet online. Make sure you check out our Bridgeway Facebook page to see last week’s “Hike Night.” The children sent in pictures of their family hikes and Amy put them all together in a video she live-streamed to the Awana clubbers. They then met with their leaders online to say their verses and have club time.
We’ll let you know more by next Wednesday, but for now the plan is to have an online Good Friday service Friday night and a live stream Easter celebration Sunday morning.
For the most part, the staff will be available at the church during the usual hours. If you have a need, please don't hesitate to call the church at 480-706-4130. We want to do our best to be available for ministry, within safety guidelines of course. We care for you and if you need assistance, or are able to assist in some way, please let us know.
For the latest communication and pastoral messages, please “like” and “follow” us on our Bridgeway Community Church Facebook page. Pastor Gregg will be posting there two to three times a week.
We appreciate your prayers during this challenging time. We know God can handle all of this. The “church can be the church,” living out our faith before a world that needs hope in Him.
See you online Sunday!
