Bridgeway Women's Bible Studies Winter / Spring 2018

Tuesday Evenings (2 Bible Studies)

Bible Study 1: This group meets every other Tuesday at Bridgeway Community Church at 6:45 PM.

Study:  Where Is God's Love, Mercy and Grace in the Old Testament Prophets? Beginning Tuesday, 01/09/2018

Study Details:

  • We'll look at some Old Testament prophets' messages about God's wrath (because of His people's rebellion - yikes!), along with verses about God's love, mercy and grace from the same prophets. We'll also see verses in the New Testament on the fulfillment of some of these truths - "the rest of the story"!
  • The leader for this study is Margaret Reis and she can be reached at 480-706-4130.
  • **This study will finish up May 15, 2018. This group will be on summer break and will resume in the fall - stay tuned for details later this summer!

Bible Study 2: This group meets every other Tuesday at Bridgeway Community Church at 6:30 PM.

Study:  "Ezra and Nehemiah" by Kathleen B. Nielson, beginning Tuesday, 03/27/18

Study Details:

  • This book will take you through a 12-week study showing God's unfailing love for His exiled people who resettle Judah and rebuild the temple and wall of Jerusalem.
  • The leader for this study is Sheryl Haliburton and she can be contacted at [email protected] for more information.
  • **This study will finish up May 2018. This group will be on summer break and will resume in the fall - stay tuned for details later this summer!

Wednesday Evenings

This group meets every other Wednesday at 6:30 PM at Charlaine Adkins home.

Study:  "Finding I AM" Series, beginning Wednesday, 03/14/2018

Study Details:

  • What is the deep cry of your heart? The ache in your soul that keeps you up at night? The prayer you keep repeating? Jesus not only cares about this deep, spiritual wrestling, but He also wants to step in and see you through it.
  • Join Lysa TerKeurst on the streets of Israel to explore the seven I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. Through this interactive, in-depth study we will be trading feelings of emptiness and depletion for the fullness of knowing who Jesus is, like never before.
  • The leader for this study is Melinda Coate and she can be contacted at [email protected] for more information.
  • **This study will finish up May 16, 2018. This group will be on summer break and will resume in the fall - stay tuned for details later this summer!

Thursday Mornings, 9AM at Bridgeway

Study:  "James: Genuine Faith" by Sam Allberry, beginning Thursday, 04/12/2018

Study Details:

This study shows you the difference between genuine faith and fake faith- and how real Christianity makes a real difference. The leader for this study is Pam Brummit and she can be contacted at [email protected] for more information.

Friday Mornings, 9AM at Bridgeway

Study:  "The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis," by Nancy Guthrie

Study Details:

  • The Holiness of God examines the meaning of holiness and why people are both fascinated and terrified by a holy God. This series closely explores God's character, leading to new insights on sin, justice, and grace.
  • The result is a new awareness of our dependence upon God's mercy and a discovery of the awesomeness of His majestic holiness. Dr. R.C. Sproul says, "The holiness of God affects every aspect of our lives- economics, politics, athletics, romance- everything with which we are involved."
  • The leader for this study is Debborah Charboneau and she can be contacted at [email protected] for more information.
  • **This study will finish up May 4, 2018. This group will be on summer break and will resume in the fall - stay tuned for details later this summer!

A Word from Kris...

I encourage you to find a study that interests you and fits your time schedule.

If you are having difficulty finding a time that fits, please let me know, [email protected], so that we can address your needs in the future.

If you would prefer to do your bible studies on your own you might want to check out the W.O.R.D. method as described at https://thefelicitybee.com/blog/the-word-bible-study-method. For January, she has https://thefelicitybee.com/blog/inscribe-the-word-january-scripture-writing-plan-1 study on 1John. I encourage you explore this easy, but fruitful method for spending time in our Lord's Word. Erika sends out a link to a new study subject each month or you can explore any book of the bible using this method once you get comfortable with it. Please let me know what you think.
