Gregg's
Retirement Letter

June 8, 2025

Dear Bridgeway Community Church,

King Solomon wrote: “There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven...” (Ecc. 3:1).

After much prayer and reflection, I believe the time has come for me to begin transitioning into retirement from the full-time responsibilities of pastoral ministry. This decision hasn’t been easy, because being pastor of Bridgeway has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I often tell my fellow pastors with great pride about the incredible church family I have in you.

Twenty-three years ago, I came to Bridgeway, and it was the beginning of a joyous relationship, worshiping and serving the Lord together. Kim and I found our spiritual home here. It has truly been a blessing for us, and we thank the Lord for our time together. You have brought us joy, blessing, comfort and support while we have been serving here.

While I will officially step into retirement later this year, please know that my heart and door remain open to you in the months ahead.

I realize this announcement may come as a surprise, but I ask that we process it not with sadness but with gratitude for all that God has done over the years.

I’m trusting God for what’s ahead, for you as well as for Kim and me. I’m praying now that God will prepare a servant for Bridgeway who teaches the Word faithfully and loves you deeply.

Our elders are prayerfully putting together a plan for the pastoral transition. Please pray for, and support and encourage them in this process.

With love and appreciation,

Pastor Gregg
