Good morning friends,
Happy New Year!
Quote of the week:
God is more concerned with our character than our comfort. God is more concerned with our holiness than our happiness. – Tim Barnett

- We Have Smartphones – Why Memorize Scripture? | Desiring God – If God’s words stay outside us, they cannot bear fruit in us. As amazing as today’s digital marvels are, they will never make the memorization of Scripture obsolete – any more than the printing press, radio, television, or Internet did. All of these technologies have been useful for delivering the words of God to our eyes and ears. But only by taking those words into ourselves – into our minds by comprehension and our hearts by faith and obedience – will they give us life and fruitfulness in Christ.: https://www.desiringgod.org/articles/we-have-smartphones-why-memorize-scripture
- Rosaria Butterfield’s Testimony – YouTube. This is just such a powerful testimony. The way I see it, there are 2 key elements: (1) the way that God used Pastor Ken in his kindness to Rosaria to be her friend and not just his “project”. I think that opened the door for her and made her feel safe. Then (2) the power of the written word of God to persuade a skeptic and hater of God that this book, the Bible, indeed had a divine author. This is evident all throughout her testimony, how prominently the word of God is featured in her eventual conversion (repentance and faith). She read the book at least 7 times. What a lesson for us Christians!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eykv-3hvFvI
- According to Dr. William Lane Craig suggests that every believer should have a list of arguments memorized and ready to share in a conversation with an unbeliever. The “typical” unbeliever simply repeats slogans that’ve worked for them.: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1196667865740130
- What Christians Get Wrong About Israel and the Church with Dinesh D’souza & James Tour – YouTube – very interesting that James tour who is a scientist, and Dinesh D’Souza who is a political commentator are talking about the scriptures being cohesive from a Jewish and Christian perspective between the Old and New Testament. Additionally, they are making a case against replacement theology and also a case of the Jewishness of the New testament: https://youtu.be/G4mfQNVV4I8?si=SRaJTQIHKGqNqZij

- Why Most People Wouldn’t Want God to Send Them to Heaven – Hardly anyone thinks they’re going to hell. Even the most irreligious of people assume they’ll end up in a better place. But if anything the Bible says about heaven is true, most people wouldn’t want God to send them there. It would violate everything they’ve believed in and committed themselves to. Let me explain.: https://www.gracebc.ca/blog/2025/11/12/why-most-people-wouldnt-want-god-to-send-them-to-heaven
- One Race | Biblical Science Institute – The Bible teaches, and genetics confirms, that there is only one race of people: the human race. All people are descended from Adam and Eve and bear the immaterial image of their Creator. All people therefore are equal before the law of God and justice demands that they be treated as equals. The dispersion at Babel caused some homozygous combinations to arise in various genetically isolated people groups. Hence, certain people groups have some physical traits in common that distinguish them from other people groups: ethnicity. However, ethnic traits are genetically insignificant and dwarfed by other genetic differences. Therefore, there is no scientific or biblical basis for any sort of discrimination on the basis of ethnicity. Racism is a sinful violation of God’s law and is repudiated in Scripture. We are not to “regard the face” of a person when rendering any sort of judgment. We are all of one blood. In God’s family, there is no room for ethnic prejudice. “For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for ‘whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved’” (Romans 10:12-13).: https://biblicalscienceinstitute.com/theology/one-race/
- Wernher von Braun on Creation | Creation Moments – Dr. Wernher von Braun was considered one of the 20th century’s greatest scientists. After pioneering work in rocketry, von Braun developed the Saturn V rocket, which successfully powered the first manned moon landing. In 1972, this great scientist was asked to comment on the case for design as a scientific theory for the origin of the universe.: https://creationmoments.com/radio/broadcast-archive/todays-creation-moment/wernher-von-braun-on-creation/

- Space is full of some of the strangest and most breath-taking objects in existence. Among them, black holes sit right at the top of the list. They’re so powerful that nothing, not even light, can escape their pull. They push the limits of physics and challenge how mainstream scientists think the universe formed. | The Creation Podcast: Episode 112 | The Institute for Creation Research: https://www.icr.org/article/creation-podcast-episode-112/
- Why Don’t You Rust? | Creation Moments – Did you ever wonder why you don’t rust? Before you laugh, remember-iron is not only a major part of your blood, it is used to attract the oxygen that is carried by your blood to the rest of your body. And you know what happens when oxygen meets the iron in your car or a tool that is left outside overnight-rust! So, why don’t we rust?: https://creationmoments.com/radio/broadcast-archive/todays-creation-moment/why-dont-you-rust/

We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers–and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me. 1 Timothy 1:8-11
Blessings to you all
